VCRR (Ventura County Recumbent Riders,  벤트라 카운티 리컴라이더 동호회) - 여행기 16

 

지난 1 월 20 일 VCRR 동호회 격주 토요 정모 후기가 VCRR 동호회 홈피 에 올랐네요. 우리의 이야기와 Kay 가 찍은사진 들이 함께 올랐습니다. 

 

 

그렇지요.  남가주 겨울이 이쯤 되야지요. 
해변가는 조금 쌀쌀한 편이지만  우리 대부분이 Ojai 에 가기를 원했지요. 
그래서 우리 라이딩은 거의 전 구간 따뜻한 해볕을 즐길 수 있었습니다. 
이번 정모는 이번 겨울  가장 많이 모였습니다.  27 사람 이나 왔습니다. 
가장 멀리 온 사람 경쟁 부분은 누구도 당할 수 없었지요.   새내기 두 사람,  KC(보리스) 와 Connie(코니) 는 장장 한국에서 와서 새로 산 그린스피드 테드폴 3륜을  타고 참가 했으니깐요.
크리스티는 정말 대단했지요.  보드런너를 타고 집에서 소울 파크 골프장까지 왔으니깐요.    ......

 

1/20:YES! This was a little more like SoCal is supposed to be. It was a little chilly near the beach, but most of the group opted to trek up to Ojai, and we had nice warm sunshine for most of the ride. This was one of our biggest turnouts for a winter ride, with 27 cyclists.The longest distance prize was no contest; newbies KC and Connie came all the way from Korea, and rode with us on their new Greenspeed tadpoles. Christy made her bones by riding her Boardrunner all the way from home up to Soule Park. There was a group of Boy Scouts on a cycling campout on their way up to Foster Park along with us, dozens of them, the most traffic I've seen on the Ventura River Trail in years, probably. DaveM had a flat on the way up, but was so quick and sneaky about fixing it that most people didn't even know. Jerilyn remembered her front wheel this time – but not her helmet... time for a checklist, maybe? Lunch was great as usual, and the trip down is always a blast. It did get a little cool once we went under some dark, high clouds, however, and folks were climbing back into the jackets and windbreakers they'd shed on the way up.
